Old Via Banjos

My handcrafted banjos are made from top grade wood and high quality parts. Made in the USA from top to bottom. American Craftsmanship, from the hills of Virginia. I have a variety of makes and models to choose from. My Banjos are usually made with maple, with a walnut trim.

 

My banjo building method is a mixture of several makers from the past and present. It is a time consuming process, but I produce a high quality, well-built banjo.  I build my own rims, and hand carve the necks. The rims are laminate which is the Vega and Gibson way. So its a proven process.  I can build a block rim by special order.  Banjo sound varies from the powerful sound of the Whyte Ladie, the mid sound of the Little Wonder, and the full, mellow, sound of the Piedmont and Standards.

               Custom Banjos Start at $1,200, and include brass Tone ring, standard dots, ebony fingerboard, and maple neck and rim.
